This is a wonderful two tone light blue and off white coloured Underwood " Golden Touch " series Quiet Tab Deluxe typewriter which was made in the US in 1958 . This one types with the standard sized " Elite " font so has 12 letters to the inch and has the lovely Underwood Elite Victoria style of font . It has dark grey keys , space bar and carriage knobs and has the Underwood badge with " Golden Touch " on it at the front . You push this badge to open the ribbon cover .
There are a few minor marks and some discolouration to the metal body of the typewriter and some paint touch ups ,mainly on the front left and back edges and on the of ribbon cover , but generally this typewriter is in a good condition for its age . The silver chrome work has a nice shine and it types well .
This typewriter has been professionally cleaned, serviced , adjusted and tested. It is in full working order and fitted with a new Group 9 ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on.
We also include a photo copy of an original instruction booklet .
We can supply Group 9 typewriter ribbons when required from £4.95 each including postage. Available in plain black, red/black and a range of colours. A ribbon will last you a long time . To give you an idea , in an office environment with someone using a typewriter professionally a ribbon would last them around 3 months .
It comes with it's black coloured and tartan covered carry case which has clasps to close at the front and a working handle .There is some discolouration ,signs of wear and some marks in places mainly on the bottom of the outside but this carry case is in a good functional condition.
The typewriter measures 32 cms by 30 cms by 14 cms high .
This is a wonderful Mad Men style typewriter in a fabulous colour and in good working order .
