The " Typewriting Self-Taught " booklet was written by Kate Stevens and published in 1954 . Kate Stevens was an Examiner in Typewriting to the Union of Educational Institutions and she won the £75 prize in the Daily Sketch's shorthand typist's competition.  This booklet is 40 pages long and takes you through all the basics of mastering your typewriter and improving your skills. There is even advise on how to set up typing a play or verse. 

It's in a good overall condition with a two tone tan and blue cover. There is some general wear and small marks as is to be expected for its age. The booklet  measures 18 cm x 12.5 cm.  Perfect if you want to get to grips with your typing or a lovely unique gift.
