This Torpedo " Bluebird " portable typewriter was made in West Germany in the early 60's .Torpedo was taken over by Remington Rand in the 1930's and it's reputation was lifted when in 1955 Hanne Friess won an international typing competition in Monte Carlo using a Torpedo Solitaire and claimed the world title.
