This Royal Commander portable was made in Canada in 1941 and is in a lovely matt charcoal black colour with a "crinkle " finish. It is in a very good condition for its age with only a few very minor marks and signs of wear to the paintwork mainly on the ribbon cover. It types very well with a slightly larger pica size type face giving you 10 letters to the inch and this model has both a $ key as well as a £ key.
It has the Royal logo on the front of the ribbon cover and the manufacturers detail on the back. The keys are in a classic black with silver chrome surrounds and the letters and numbers in a creme colour.
Its a very nice compact size being 26 cm wide x 27 cm deep x 12 cm high.
This typewriter has been professionally cleaned, serviced, adjusted and tested. It is in full working order and fitted with a new Group 9 ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on.

There is a wooden carry case with covering which is in a good functional condition with some small signs of wear mainly on the inside. The latch works to close it and it has a sound handle.
