Typewriter, 1964 Olympia Splendid 33

£225.00 GBP

A lovely creme coloured Olympia Splendid 33 typewriter with off white coloured keys, space bar and mint green shift keys and carriage knobs. Olympia was a German brand of typewriter that was known for their great quality and this one was made in West Germany in 1964 for the UK market. It has the Olympia logo on the front and the Made in West Germany and London agents details on the back. It is in a good general condition but does have a few marks to the paintwork mainly at the front corners and the left hand edge of the ribbon cover. This one has the slightly larger "pica"  sized type face giving you 10 letters to the inch.

It is in full working order and we have given it a professional clean, service, adjusted and tested it as well as fitting a new ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on. We also include a photo copy of an original product booklet. Please note you can only use a plain colour ribbon on the typewriter. You can't use a two colour ribbon.

Top quality American made Universal plain black typewriter ribbons or other plain colours can be purchased from us when required. They cost from £7.95 including postage.

This typewriter comes with a carry case lid which clips down over the machine and provides you with a handle. The case is also in a good general condition, with just a few small marks and signs of wear. The typewriter measures 29 cm by 28 cm by 7 cm high, making it a very compact portable model.

"My Olivetti arrived a couple days ago. Got a chance to test it out and it works like a dream (you wouldn’t guess it was nearly half a century old). Thank you for including the original metal spools, it adds a great touch to the machine. Looking forward to adding another typewriter to the collection sometime soon..." - Jake
