A lovely two tone white and dark grey coloured Olympia SM8 typewriter with dark grey keys, space bar and carriage knobs. Olympia was a German brand of typewriter that was known for their great quality and ease of use and this one was made in West Germany in 1971. It has the Olympia logo on the front and the manufacturers details on the back. It types very nicely and has been professionally cleaned, serviced, adjusted and tested. It is in full working order and is fitted with a new top quality American made ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on. This one has the rarer Olympia Italic typeface in an "elite" size giving you 11 letters to the inch.

This model has a metal casing and the whole front section lifts up to access the ribbon. The SM portables have a reputation as being "the writers " typewriter and this one certainly types very nicely. The casing of the typewriter is in a very good condition. It measures 30 cm by 32 cm by 14 cm high.
It comes with it's original black coloured Olympia carry case which is also in a good condition with a sound handle, closure fitting and just some signs of wear at the back top edge.
We include a copy of an instruction manual. This is a good working Olympia SM8 model with the very nice and sought after rarer Italic typeface.
