This is a wonderful Smith Corona Sterling typewriter in a good working order and has a nice typing action. It was made in the Canada in 1957 and has an all metal body in a seafoam green colour with off white keys and carriage knobs . It has the Smith Corona logo to the front and the Sterling logo on the carriage as well as a "Pica" sized font giving you 10 letters to the inch. There are some minor marks and discolouration to the paintwork mainly on the front corners , the top edges of the ribbon cover and the back.
This typewriter has been professionally cleaned ,serviced, adjusted and tested . It is in full working order and is fitted with a new Group 9 ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on .
We can supply Group 9 typewriter ribbons at £4.95 each including postage. Available in plain black, red/black, blue and purple. A ribbon will last you a long time and to give you an idea , in an office environment with someone using a typewriter professionally a ribbon would last them around 3 months .
It comes with a smart wooden case with flecked covering on the outside and green covering on the inside . The typewriter locks in place for transit and it has a sound external catch and handle.
The typewriter measures 30 cms x 32 cms x 12 cms .We also include a photo copy of an original instruction booklet.
This is a good working typewriter in a nice condition and colour with a classic Mad Men look which is highly collectable .
