This Royal Arrow portable was most likely made in Canada in 1941 and is in a lovely matt charcoal black colour with a "crinkle " finish . It is in a very good condition for its age with only a few very minor marks and signs of wear to the paintwork and some wear and fading to the silver chromework mainly on the type bars . It has classic keys with silver chrome surrounds in a black colour with creme coloured numbers and letters . There are some minor scratches to a few of the keys , mainly the "e" .This machine has the slightly larger "Pica" sized font giving you 10 letters to the inch.
It has the Royal logo and " Made in the British Empire " on the front of the ribbon cover, the Royal name on the back and three silver levers for adjusting touch control . ribbon colour and ribbon reverse .
This typewriter has been professionally cleaned ,serviced, adjusted and tested . It is in full working order and is fitted with a new Group 9 ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on !

A ribbon will last you a long time and to give you an idea , in an office environment with someone using a typewriter professionally a ribbon would last them around 3 months .
There is a wooden black coloured covered case which is sound and only slightly worn in places. The latch works to close it and it has a sound handle . There is the Royal logo fixed just above the latch.
It has a serial number C 1006105 which dates it to 1941. Its a very nice compact size being 26 cms wide x 29 cms deep x 13 cms high .We also include a copy of an original manual .
This is a wonderful Royal Arrow portable typewriter in a good working order and a lovely condition for its age .
