The Olivetti Lettera 22 was designed in Italy in 1950 by Marcello Nizzoli and proved to be extremely popular throughout the 1950's winning numerous design awards.It was very portable for the time as it measures 30 cm x 30 cm x 8 cm high.It has the usual all metal casing and is in a blue/green enamel colour with charcoal coloured keys.This model was made in Glasgow rather than in Spain, Italy or Mexico and has the Olivetti branding on the right side of the carriage and the Lettera 22 logo on top of the ribbon cover.This one has the standard " elite " sized font size so types with 12 letters to the inch.
It types very well with a light touch and is in a very good overall condition with just a few small marks.
This typewriter has been professionally serviced , cleaned , adjusted and tested.It is in full working order and fitted with a new Group 4 ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on.

It comes with a standard Olivetti carry case with a smart tartan interior which has working zips and a handle.There are a few minor marks to the case and signs of wear but generally its in a good condition for its age.We also include a photo copy of a Lettera 22 instruction manual.
