This wonderful shiny black enamel coloured S Model L.C. Smith & Corona "Flat Top " portable typewriter was made in 1933 in the USA .
This typewriter is in full working order and in a generally very good condition. Please note in some images the map behind the typewriter is reflected in the enamel paintwork . It has classic sliver and black (with a slight green tinge) keys with the letters and numbers in a creme colour . It has the Corona logo on the front and the back with " L C Smith & Corona Typewriter Inc " on the front bar .The enamel paintwork has a few minor marks mainly at the back and the ribbon cover has been re sprayed .The metal chrome work is also in a good condition with some wear evident in places . The typewriter measures 28 cms wide by 30 cms deep and 12 cms high .
This typewriter has been professionally cleaned ,serviced, adjusted and tested . It is in full working order and is fitted with a new Group 9 ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on.
We can supply Group 9 typewriter ribbons at £4.95 each including postage. Available in plain black, red/black, blue and purple. A ribbon will last you a long time and to give you an idea , in an office environment with someone using a typewriter professionally a ribbon would last them around 3 months .
This Corona comes with it's original case which is a wooden case with black leatherette covering . The case , metals clasps to close and the handle all work well . The covering does show signs of wear with marks and discolouration in places and there is some wear to the handle .
