Hermes Baby

This Hermes Baby typewriter was made in Switzerland in 1959 and is in a wonderful pale pastel green colour with subtle crinkle finish and has mint green keys, space bar and carriage knobs. The ribbon spools are accessed by the two " gull winged " covers that fold back. Hermes typewriters were designed and made in Switzerland by Paillard before production moved to France and then to Brazil. Hermes Baby models were originally the smallest typewriters on the market and enjoyed a loyal following. This is in full working order and types well. It has the slightly larger "pica" sized typeface giving you 10 letters to the inch and a couple of accented keys, a $ sign key, but no £ sign key. Please note this one only takes a one colour ribbon, you can't use a two ribbon on this machine.

This typewriter has been professionally cleaned, serviced, adjusted and tested. It is in full working order and is fitted with a new top quality American made Group 9 TW1 ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on.

We can supply Group 9 TW1 typewriter ribbons from £6.95 each including postage. Available in plain black and a range of other single colour options on Universal spools.

It is in a good general condition with just some discolouration to the metal body and some marks to the paintwork mainly at the right hand side and the underneath . It also has some minor wear on the space bar but this does not affect the functionality at all. It has the Hermes Baby logo on the front left side and manufacturers details on the back.

It comes with a case in a matching colour which clips down over the typewriter providing you with a handle. The clips and handle work well. The case is in a good functional condition with just a few small marks and some general discolouration to the inside and outside. The typewriter measures 29 cm by 30 cm by 6.5 cm high. If you want a smaller portable typewriter in a fabulous colour that doesn't take up too much desk space this is a great option. We include a photo copy of an original instruction booklet which shows the features and has many handy tips such as how to change the ribbon.

Delivery anywhere within the UK is included in the price.
