This Royal portable was made in the US in 1926 and is in a lovely shiny black enamel colour . It has the old classic style glass topped keys with silver chrome surrounds in a vintage creme colour with black coloured numbers and letters .These are all in a very good condition with just some minor discolouration . This one has the slightly larger " Pica" sized font giving you 10 letters to the inch. Please also note that in some of our images there is some reflection of the map from behind on the black enamel of the typewriter.
It has the Royal logo in gold on the carriage and on the front left and the Royal logo and manufacturers patients details on the back and comes with two metal spools .The silver chrome work is also in a nice condition .
The typewriter is in full working order, types well and we have given it a clean , professional service, adjusted and tested it , as well as fitting a new ribbon , so its all ready for you to start typing on .Its a very nice compact size being 27 cms wide x 28 cms deep x 11 cms high .
It is in an extremely good condition for its age with only a few very minor marks and signs of wear to the paintwork , mainly on the top of the carriage.
We can supply Group 9 typewriter ribbons from £4.95 each including postage. Available in plain black, red/black and a range of Universal ribbons in other colour options. You would then just rewind the new ribbon onto the existing metal spools. A ribbon will last you a long time and to give you an idea , in an office environment with someone using a typewriter professionally a ribbon would last them around 3 months.
It comes with its original carry black coloured carry case which is also in a good condition for its age . It's original handle has been lost but we have fitted a replacement handle . The closure fitting works well and the case is in a good functional condition with just a few marks and signs of wear.
It has a serial number P5839 which dates it to 1926. We also include a copy of an original manual .
