The Olivetti Lettera 22 was designed in Italy in 1950 by Marcello Nizzoli and proved to be extremely popular throughout the 1950's winning numerous design awards. It was very portable for the time as it measures 30 cm x 30 cm x 8 cm high. This one has the usual all metal casing and is in a mushroom enamel colour with round black coloured keys, space bar, carriage knobs. This model was made in 1958 in Glasgow rather than in Spain, Italy or Mexico and has the standard "elite" size typeface giving you 11 letters to the inch.
This one works and types very well with a light touch and is in a good overall condition with just some very small marks to the paintwork and some slight wear to a few of the key tops.
This typewriter has been professionally serviced, cleaned, adjusted and tested. It is in full working order and fitted with a new top quality American made ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on.
We can supply Universal typewriter ribbons from £7.95 each including postage. Available in plain black, red/black and a range of other colour options.
It comes with a standard Olivetti carry case which has sound and functional zips and two handles. There are small signs of wear and discolouration, but it's also in a very nice condition.
We also include a photo copy of a Lettera 22 instruction manual.
Delivery anywhere within the UK is included in the price.
