Typewriter, 1957 Smith Corona Sterling

£345.00 GBP

This is a wonderful Smith Corona Sterling typewriter in a good working order and has a nice typing action. It was made in the USA in 1957 and has an all metal body in a pastel green colour with light creme keys and carriage knobs. It has the Smith Corona logo to the front and the Sterling logo on the carriage as well as the slightly larger "pica" sized type face giving you 10 letters to the inch. There are some minor marks and discolouration to the paintwork mainly at the right hand end back corner.

This typewriter has been professionally cleaned, serviced, adjusted and tested. It is in full working order and is fitted with a new top quality American made ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on.

We can supply Universal typewriter ribbons from £7.95 each including postage. Available in plain black, red/black and a range of other colour options. You can also rewind new ribbon onto the metal spools that are already in the machine.

It comes with a smart tan coloured case. The typewriter locks in place for transit and it has a sound external catch and handle with key. There are some age related signs of wear to case mainly on the outside, but it is fully functional.

The typewriter measures 30 cm x 32 cm x 12 cm. We also include a photo copy of an original instruction booklet.

This is a good working typewriter in a nice condition and very collectable colour.

"My Olivetti arrived a couple days ago. Got a chance to test it out and it works like a dream (you wouldn’t guess it was nearly half a century old). Thank you for including the original metal spools, it adds a great touch to the machine. Looking forward to adding another typewriter to the collection sometime soon..." - Jake
