A fabulous 1956 olive green coloured Olympia SM 3 De Luxe typewriter with dark green keys, space bar and carriage knobs together with a smart silver chrome trim. This one has the slightly larger Olympia "pica" sized type face giving you 10 letters to the inch and an extended carriage so you can scroll A4 paper into the machine in either portrait or landscape mode.
Olympia was a German brand of typewriter that was known for their great quality and ease of use. It is in full working order and we have given it a professional clean, service, adjusted and tested it and fitted a new top quality American made Universal ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on. The SM 3 's are all metal and beautifully engineered machines giving you a great typing performance. This one is in a very nice condition with just a few very small marks to the paintwork and silver chrome trim and some signs of wear on the plastic card guards. It has the Olympia logo on the front, "Made in Germany " and the selling agents details on the back.
Universal TW38 typewriter ribbons can be purchased from us we when required and are available in plain black, two tone red/black and a range of other colour options. New ribbons are priced from £6.95 including postage.
The typewriter measures 44 cm wide by 30 cm deep by 13 cm high and although classed as a portable this is quite a heavy machine and if you are after something to carry around this may not be the best option, but if you want something sturdy, robust and a great typer then this is one to consider.
It comes with its original carry case with dark red interior. The case is fully functional with a sound handle and closure fitting. There is signs of wear on both the inside and the outside.
