A lovely two tone creme and green coloured Willy Scheidegger Princess - Matic typewriter with light creme keys , space bar and carriage knobs and a red Tab key. Made by Keller & Knappich in West Germany in the 1960's for the Willy Scheldegger Swiss Typing School . When you signed up for your typing course you were obliged to purchase one of these machines. It has the Scheidegger logo on the front left and the manufactures detail on the back. This one has the standard "elite " sized font giving you 11 letters to the inch.
This typewriter has been professionally cleaned ,serviced, adjusted and tested . It is in full working order and is fitted with a new Group 1 ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on.
We can supply Group 1 typewriter ribbons at £4.95 each including postage. Available in plain black, red/black and a range of other colour options in a Universal ribbon. A ribbon will last you a long time and to give you an idea , in an office environment with someone using a typewriter professionally a ribbon would last them around 3 months .
This model has a metal casing with enamel paintwork which is in a good general condition with some very minor marks in places , mainly some signs of wear at the back and around the ribbon cover edges. The underneath of the ribbon cover also has some residue left from what would have originally been a lining that has worn away. The typewriter measures 30 cms by 30 cms by 8 cms high , making it a very compact portable typewriter.
It has a smart tan coloured vinyl carry case which has a few small marks and signs of wear . The closure and handle both work well. It sits on the baseboard and you need to keep it on the base board for it to work properly .
This is a fabulous Willy Scheidegger two tone 1960's Princess-matic typewriter in a nice working condition and lovely colour.
