This is a wonderful Remington Victor T Model 5 Streamline portable typewriter made in the UK from imported US parts in 1936 and is in full working order and in an extremely good condition for its age . It has a black gloss enamel paintwork finish and the lovely curved art deco inspired body design . Please note there is some reflection on the black enamel from the vintage map behind the typewriter in some of our images . It has black keys with creme letters and numbers and silver chrome ring surrounds and a red Tab key and ruler . These are all in a very good condition as is the silver chrome work . There is a nice gloss to the black paintwork with just a few very small marks and paint touch ups mainly at the front left hand corner. This one has the slightly larger "Pica" sized font giving you 10 letters to the inch . It has its two original metal spools , the Remington Victor logo on the carriage.
We have given it a clean, professional service , adjusted and tested it as well as fitting a new ribbon , so its all ready for you to take out of the box and start typing on . We also include a photo copy of a Remington Portable instruction manual .
We can supply Group 1 typewriter ribbons from £4.95 each including postage. Available in plain black, red/black and a range of Universal ribbons in other colour options. You would then just rewind the new ribbon onto the existing metal spools. A ribbon will last you a long time and to give you an idea , in an office environment with someone using a typewriter professionally a ribbon would last them around 3 months.
It comes with it's original carry case which is also in a good condition . The leatherette covering on the wooden box does have some marks and signs of wear but is all sound. The handle and two metal fittings to close work well .
The typewriter measures 25 cms across by 28 cms deep and 10 cms high .
